A Poem for Ma!

Each year, I realize my mom really does know what is best and was not born yesterday. Her wisdom and advice not only hits in a comforting and materal way, but also in an encouraging yet serious and inspiring way.

I love learning about who she was before becoming a mother and look up to her strength and determination in making sure everything is ok.

She is in-tune with who she is and what she wants for herself and I admire and attempt to model that confidence of hers.

I would not change my childhood nor upbringing because my mom taught my brother and I to be kind and empathic yet set boundaries and protect your peace. She taught us hard lessons and let us figure some out on our own. But out of everything she showed us love and let us be who we wanted to be.

And to that, I wrote a poem for my mom and wanted to share my love for her.

I love you lots ma!
