The event without an ego: Symbiosis presses play

DJ, Eddie Wonders
Los Angeles, CA— Created by techno DJ Eddie Wonders in February, Symbiosis Events emerges for its debut with six DJs throwing down house and techno music at a secret Inland Empire location. Expect sounds by LUUCEO, JACZ, CECYLIA, Groovie Hermanos, Cri8 and Eddie Wonders.
***Due to the tragic events Los Angeles is currently experiencing, Symbiosis decided to reschedule the event until further notice, for the safety of everyone. Dates for the new event will be posted this weekend.***
“I want to give it the underground vibe but also be able to take it beyond the underground,” Eddie Wonders said. “By using legit venues that don't have risks of getting raided and bigger venues for bigger artists.”
Eddie Wonders said this event relies heavily on the vibes of the crowd. He gave the definition of symbiosis being the interaction between two different organisms living in close physical association, typically to the advantage of both.
The music is alive because the people keep it alive, because people are alive. People nurture music as it nurtures them back and Eddie Wonders wants to provide an event where the dancing and music are simultaneously generating welcoming energy the dance music scene used to radiate.
Symbiosis embodies the underground house and techno music feel while cooling those moving to the rhythm in an air-conditioned venue. With summer approaching, Symbiosis allows people to still enjoy the deep bass while being in a climate controlled environment.
Eddie Wonders, with the help of a few promoters, looks to the future for his new venture and shares what large-scale plans he already sees Symbiosis accomplishing.
Even with full creative control, Eddie Wonders said he still has self-doubts, and funding is a common issue with startups, but believes Symbiosis will be a name heard at festivals like Tomorrowland, a popular EDM festival held annually in Belgium.
Eddie Wonders has aspirations to organize his own festival, in an open field with a few stages and organized art installations to help promote other independent artists.
“There is an idea that I have run across a couple of people that I want to work with to do a Symbiosis Radio or Sounds By Symbiosis,” Eddie Wonders said. “We just have to think of a name but showcasing local talent almost like a podcast and uploading it once a week.”
Eddie Wonders explained his idea for Symbiosis to be heard and spread across platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music with short interviews of the artists following their set.
Using the connections and knowledge from his past endeavors, Eddie Wonders now knows how the behind the scenes and backstage presence of a collective works and continues to help local talent get stage time and performance practice.
But Eddie Wonders said he has grown and gained a bigger perspective to allow bigger artists to play at his events.
“There is an artist on their (MEDUZA) label called Adapter that I have been chatting with,” Eddie Wonders said. “There is an idea to bring him out to L.A. because he is from Italy and get some of the local people here who are putting in the work to be able to open up for him.”
